Reporter Blindsides Bill Clinton With Question He Can’t Avoid
Former President Bill Clinton is focusing on Iowa during his next public appearances advocating for his wife Hillary Clinton.
“Donald Trump says your past is fair game”, Vega said bluntly.
Clinton reminisced about how he met the former Secretary of State 45 years ago, telling the crowd, “I thought she was the most fantastic person”.
In an appearance on CNN, Mr Trump called the former president “one of the great woman abusers of all time”, and said that Hillary Clinton was his “enabler”.
Clinton campaign spokeswoman Christina Reynolds said: “Hillary Clinton won’t be bullied or distracted by attacks he throws at her and former President Clinton”.
Trump was on the offensive ahead of Bill Clinton’s campaign debut, raising concern over the former president’s scandals and the role his wife played.
Unlike during the 2008 presidential campaign, when Clinton at times attacked Barack Obama in defense of his wife’s campaign, he kept his temper in check. “I think if Hillary continues to demonstrate that she is the most knowledgeable, experienced and capable, then she will win the nomination and the entire presidency just like Bill won it”. “I’ll let him live in his alternative reality”.
He has called the ex-president and “abuser” of women, and called Hillary Clinton hypocritical for bringing her husband on the campaign trail as she discusses her stances on women’s rights. Over in New Hampshire, however, campaigning continued as she unveiled her secret weapon: her husband.
“Keep being outrageous”, said Ernst Kastning of Concord, N.H., a Clinton supporter, when asked what message he’d send to Trump.
You know, I do love the media, though, using this – not you – but there have been media actually saying this is exactly what Hillary Clinton was talking about, when in fact it’s not. She said she doesn’t plan to go to another Clinton rally.
Trump was repeatedly interrupted by hecklers during his Monday event in Lowell, Massachusetts, in which over six different groups shouted during his speech. The issue led her Democratic presidential rival Bernie Sanders to exclaim during a debate that “the American people are sick and exhausted of hearing about your damn emails”.
“Everything she touched, she made better”, he added.
