IPhone 7 leak confirms Apple’s huge design risk
Apple is said to be developing a set of truly wireless earphones.
Meanwhile, a new report revealed that Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus model may be featuring a 3100 mAh battery, which is a marked increase from the company’s iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models which came with 1715 mAh and 2750 mAh batteries respectively.
Talking of charging solutions, users will just need to use the charging pod that will come with them i.e. there will be no charging jack in the headphones as well.
Although everything is unconfirmed, the accessory is expected to include a built-in noise-cancelling microphone, allowing for phone calls and voice activation to Siri. Bragi Dash costs $299, and because these Apple headphones won’t be a part of the iPhone 7 box, you could be looking at a similar price.
The reason behind the decision, according to speculation, is that Apple is working on making its newest handset even slimmer than the iPhone 6s – a full millimeter slimmer, in fact, which means the 3.5mm headphone jack has to go. The product might be named Apple AirPods, and Apple has already registered this name. Without using the case, reports say it will have a sub-4-hour battery life given that the pair is entirely separated and requires double wireless chips and separate batteries.
Right now, the rumour going around that Apple has made a decision to remove the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 is picking up a lot of steam.
Apart from having no 3.5 mm headphone port, the next gen iPhone is supposed to feature the latest A10 processor and 3GB of RAM. You’ll find instructions and a submission form here: InformationWeek’s Elite 100 2016.
