Agents of SHIELD Spinoff Marvel’s Most Wanted Gets Pilot Order

Whether or not this premise will actually work remains to be seen, but it’s certainly an interesting enough idea, especially as Mockingbird has become a fan-favourite character in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Last we heard of the series, which spins off Marvel characters Bobbi Morse (Palicki) and Lance Hunter (Nick Blood), no decision had been made as to how, or when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would introduce the pilot, if at all.

Agents of SHIELD producers Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski co-created the project for Marvel and ABC Studios and co-wrote the pilot. Adrianne Palicki’s Mockingbird and partner Lance Hunter will still have their day, as ABC confirms a pilot order for their Most Wanted spinoff series.

“We’re absolutely doing that [pilot]”, Lee told the crowd of TV critics, which included The Mary Sue. That Marvel’s Most Wanted title makes it sound like we might explore the villainous underbelly of the Marvel Universe.

We love the script. We think it’s going to be great. “It’s very bittersweet because we have a bunch of females on the show who kick ass”.

There were on again-off again rumors about an Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff earlier this year. If the show gets picked up to series, there’s no word on when to expect the first season.

Oh, and P.S. on an related note, he knows Peggy Carter’s worth too, noting that Season 2 of Agent Carter is “going to be really strong”. Both are now series regulars on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
