Three members of family murdered in west Delhi
Four plates with half-eaten food were recovered from the dining table in the drawing room and the television was also on when help found the bodies in the morning. Police suspect the assailants were known to the family, as they found no signs of forced entry into the three-bedroom flat.
Initial police investigations suggest that the alleged killers were known to the family and had been let into the house after which they allegedly committed the murders.
Three members of the same family – a middle aged couple and their young son – were found murdered at their residence in Old Rajinder Nagar in New Delhi on Sunday morning.
The spouse and their son have been additionally discovered lifeless in the home with strangulation marks round their neck. She immediately informed one of the neighbours of the family, who called the police around 10:30 am, following which a police team rushed to the spot. He further said that there seems a possibility that the murder took place yesterday evening. His body was found inside a cupboard. According to police officials, the entire house was ransacked. He also informed that the post-mortem report is awaited. Sanjay, who worked with the food and civil supplies department of Delhi government, was suspended previous year after he was found to be involved in several cases of cheating.
