Witcher 3 Dev Says There’s No Enhanced Edition Coming
Earlier today, French retailer E.Leclerc listed an Enhanced Edition of The Witcher 3 on their website with a release date set for February 5 of this year. It is also odd to release an Enhanced Edition for the same console platform, as enhanced edition are released for new gen consoles in which the original game are from the previous generation but with enhanced visuals.
Enhanced Edition listings are apparently errors, according to CD Projekt RED Marketing and PR idea generator Michal PG, who stated that they’re not aware of this edition and that they will look into the matter. There were no details on what the contents of the said Enhanced Edition will have.
The Witcher 3 has been sweeping all kinds of awards recently as Game of the Years for 2015 have wrapped up. Hopefully CD Projekt RED not only includes Hearts of Stone, but finds a way to incorporate potentially brand new, exclusive content. Are you glad the rumor was squelched before too many fans could get their hopes up? The second and last DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is called Blood and Wine, and it’s scheduled for a Q1 2016 launch.
Enhanced Editions usually integrate all of the DLCs and Expansions that have been released and a ton of enhancements, but it’s not clear whether that will happen.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
