Foul-mouthed tweets posted on Jeremy Corbyn’s account in apparent hack
A total of four messages were posted from the account to Corbyn’s 384,000 followers before control of the account was regained.
Jeremy Corbyn’s election to the leadership of the UK Labour Party has caused a massive rift within its ranks.
He’s just delete (sic) these tweets.
The tweet “f– trident” refers to the British Trident program for the development and operation of the country’s nuclear weapons arsenal.
Many Twitter users also claimed the hacker may have been Scottish given the language and phrases used.
Mr Corbyn’s relatively radical position on the left of British politics led some to joke that perhaps he had simply chose to speak what was on his mind.
Britain’s left wing opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn frequently gets focus for his public pronouncements, but on Sunday his communications took a turn for the weird after his Twitter account was apparently hacked.
In May a year ago Mr Cameron’s Wikipedia entry was replaced with a picture of Ed Miliband on election day.
A Corbyn spokesman declined to comment on the tweets.
