DiCaprio was the penultimate victor when he was named best actor in a motion picture drama for his portrayal of fur trapper Hugh Glass in revenge epic The Revenant.

Winslet, who called her co-star Michael Fassbender a “legend” in her acceptance speech, was competing for the award against Jane Fonda (“Youth”), Jennifer Jason Leigh (“The Hateful Eight”), Helen Mirren (“Trumbo”) and Alicia Vikander (“Ex Machina”).
Oscar Isaac was declared the victor in the limited series or TV movie for “Show Me a Hero” while Rachel Bloom won in the best actress for musical or comedy in TV for “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”.

After a 10-year ratings high three years ago, the Golden Globes’ viewership has dipped slightly since, with an audience of 19.3 million tuning in last year.
