Is EA Sports Teasing a Return of the Long Dead Series?

The three-second video was a clip of an electrocardiogram scan. Now, there may be new hope that the title may be returning to a video game store near you.
The last entry for the sports series was the July 2013 launch of NCAA Football 14, arguably one of the best versions of the college football video game in recent memory.
“No news, sorry to get your hopes up”, the EA Sports representative told Good.
The developer was quick to update their Facebook post to explain what they meant by the video clip of the heart rate monitor.
Unfortunately, only that the folks around EA Sports are really excited about the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday between Clemson and Alabama.
EA Sports also added a few words to the earlier Facebook post. Rather than continue fighting the multitude of lawsuits, EA made a decision to just not renew the license and end the series with the 2013 game. However, if the NCAA and EA were able to work something out that fits with the regulations now in place, the series could easily come back for the 2016-2017 season.

“Today I am sad to announce that we will not be publishing a new college football game next year, and we are evaluating our plan for the future of the franchise”, said Cam Weber, general manager of American football at EA Sports, on EA’s blog.
