The $599 Oculus Rift will ship with some neat accessories in March
Oculus Rift Headset’s price has been confirmed and the pre orders are now open. The highly anticipated virtual reality headset costs $599. The likes of Russian Federation and South Korea are also still waiting on news as to when the Oculus Rift will hit their countries.
Oculus’ VR-specific controller called Touch, which aims to make the user’s hand motions feel natural, is still being perfected.
After years of waiting, Oculus Rift is now available to pre-order.
Be warned, if you plan on getting a Rift the PC requirements are pretty rough. Additionally, the titles “Lucky’s Tale” and “EVE: Valkyrie” will be included.

The unit comes in at a $599 price tag which is on the high end of where we thought it would land, though Oculus insists that this hardware is heavily subsidized. Also, pre-orders will not require any money upfront, allowing customers to cancel their orders before shipment. In April, the headset will become available at select retailers.
Oculus Studios head Jason Rubin went on to argue that his company already has a solution in place for more price-conscious consumers.
On February, Oculus will also offer bundles that include the VR headset and an Oculus-ready gaming PC with a starting price of $1,499. Even an infusion of billions of dollars from Facebook didn’t speed up development. Moreover, thanks to Microsoft’s support, an Xbox One controller is tossed into the package, with an Oculus remote, a VR sensor and of course, the headset itself.
