Disney star Michael Galeota dies at 31

An autopsy is being performed to determine his exact cause of death, which has been preliminarily classified to be from natural causes.

Galeota reportedly left the hospital on Wednesday, January 6, against doctors’ advice, and was found dead inside his Glendale, California, home by a friend on Sunday, January 10. The officer revealed that the 31-year old was suffering from several health issues including abdominal pain, hypertension, and high cholesterol.

“He was a precious gift-loving, giving, compassionate, joyful and intelligent… To know him was to love him”, the note continued.

One donation worth $5,000 is from “Shia L.”, which might be from fellow Disney Channel child star Shia LaBeouf, but it has not been confirmed.

The star was on The Jersey from 1999 until 2004. As of 8:30 p.m. EST they raised more than $13,000 of their $25,000 goal.

The New York-born actor appeared in 56 episodes playing character Nick Lighter alongside co-stars Theo Greenly, Courtnee Draper, McNally Sagal, Michael Bofshever and Jermaine Williams. His humble nature hid a great compassionate and loving human being, with a huge heart.

Galeota’s loved ones created a GoFundMe page to help with the price of funeral costs, writing, “It is with tremendous heartfelt sadness to announce the passing of Michael James Galeota on January 10th”. In our hearts and souls, he will always be with us.

The star was found on the living room floor, it was claimed. Zap2It reports that Michael had been diagnosed with diverticulitis, a painful condition that, among other things, “causes inflammation of the digestive track”. “The Jersey“, however, marked his last acting role.
