Johnny Manziel Wore Wig, Went by “Billy” At Vegas Club on Saturday
The Johnny Manziel saga went from weird to weirder overnight, and the public loves it.
USA Today reported that Manziel was spotted at a Las Vegas casino Saturday night, citing “employees and patrons who interacted with the embattled quarterback”.
The Browns were unsure of Manziel’s whereabouts on Sunday.
A message left for Manziel’s agent, Erik Burkhardt, was not immediately returned Monday.
He was listed as inactive for Sunday’s game against the Steelers due to a concussion. Players were at the team’s practice facility for meetings and to clear out their lockers. Shelton and receiver Andrew Hawkins apparently saw Manziel this week, but did not speak with the QB.
The perennial misery surrounding the Cleveland Browns franchise continued Monday with the team firing another head coach and general manager, but the bigger news surrounded troubled quarterback Johnny Manziel.
The Johnny Manziel Show is growing more entertaining by the minute.
“As with most millennials, Manziel attempted to plead his innocence via social media – snapping a pick with his dog with the caption “#SaturdayNights” and geotagging Avon, OH.
When asked, the Browns said that they do not know whether Manziel was in Vegas Saturday night.
“We greatly appreciate Ray’s and Mike’s dedication and hard work while with the Cleveland Browns”, said Haslam, who owns the team along with his wife, Dee.
Sports Illustrated’s Peter King reported that Manziel broke team rules by not reporting to the medical staff on Sunday morning prior to the game against Pittsburgh and that “the team couldn’t find him for hours”. We’ll talk as we’re headed to the offseason about getting addressed to make sure that, I said this before, we want to make sure that all of our places are grounded or in good shape as people first, players second.
Manziel, 23, played in nine games (six starts) this season and threw 1,500 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions and completed 57.8% of his passes.
