EE and O2 resolve network problems
Mobile networks EE and O2 are seeing issues across the country, with customers of the two networks unable to make phone calls to landline phones.
Early reports seemed to indicate that the problem lay with a fault on the BT network that was preventing calls from connecting, according to tweets made by both operators.
“We are sorry about the inconvenience we are aware of the issue with the phone lines, our engineers are working on the issue and will resolve as soon as possible”.
‘The EE Network is now experiencing national technical issues regarding calls and signal.
EE and O2 have now said that customers who were affected by the glitch should now be able to make calls without any problems.
O2 claimed the problems were caused by landlines on BT’s network, though BT has said it found nothing to suggest there was a problem with its network.
At time of publication, O2 had updated the page to state that BT “confirmed they have started to see an improvement in call connections”. “We apologise for the inconvenience while we worked with the affected operators to get everything back up and running”.
The company apologised and said that it was now working on fixing the issue.
