Trump on Ted Cruz’s Canadian Birthplace
According to the American constitution, the presidency of the United States can only be held by “natural born citizens”.
Trump in an interview said that Republicans would have to ask themselves if they want to have a candidate who might be in court for years. “That’d be a big problem”.

The Post interview was not the day’s first tension point between the two.

Trump first unleashed a verbal assault on Cruz in December at an event in Des Moines where he questioned Cruz’s evangelical faith.
Trump has bragged about his massive wealth (“I’m really rich!” he crowed early in his campaign) and his ensuing ability to run for president without having to raise money from special interests.
The latest national poll of Republican and Republican-leaning registered voters has Trump leading with 39 per cent and Cruz on 18 per cent.
