Cops: Shoplifter Bit Off Finger Of Walmart Employee
Wright then bit down on worker Candice Lawsom’s finger, “causing a portion of [Lawsom’s] finger to be bitten off”.
Wright allegedly punched one of the Walmart employees in the side of the head.
A 23-year-old woman was arrested at a Walmart in Myrtle Beach after police say she stole items and got into a fight with two loss prevention officers.
Local media outlets cite a police report which said store security tried to stop a woman who they say was concealing merchandise on Sunday, but an altercation ensued. When police arrived, they noticed a group of people surrounding the vehicle. One victim required stitches and her fingertip was not able to be reattached, the report said. They included condoms, lubricant, panties, a bra and other items of clothing.
Wright is also alleged to have attacked a customer who dropped her phone as she tried to dial 911, grabbing the woman’s handset and pulling her hair.
The report said Wright then ran to the parking lot where a male drive was waiting.
According to The Smoking Gun, the driver told police Wright had gone into the store “to make a purchase”, and that when she returned she demanded multiple times for him to “Drive!” According the report, the owner of the van told police that he did not know about the altercation. While working as a stripper at a Myrtle Beach gentleman’s club, she beat a co-worker about the head with a plastic high-heeled shoe. She is being held without bond in advance of a court hearing next week. In March she pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and battery.
