Four Palestinians from the same town near Hebron were shot dead by Israeli forces on Thursday after alleged stabbing attempts in two separate incidents in the southern West Bank, the army said.
According to the army, soldiers identified three Palestinians they said appeared suspicious approaching the junction from the direction of Beit Fajjar.
A military spokeswoman told AFP all three were killed.

Relatives and onlookers stand in a building where the home (bottom) of Palestinian Bahaa Mohammed Halil Allyan was demolished by Israeli security personnel in the Arab east Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabel Mukaber. The neck guard is created to be slipped on underneath a variety of protective vest designs so that soldiers in all areas of the military can wear them.
Israeli medical and disaster organization Magen David Adom has recorded at least 27 Israeli deaths at the hands of Palestinian attackers since mid September.
Some observers attribute the recent uptick in violence to a July arson attack in the West Bank by suspected Jewish settlers that killed an 18-month-old Palestinian child and his parents, which led to an worldwide outcry. Two were killed on the spot, the third later succumbed to his wounds.
Israel says the violence is the result of incitement by Palestinian leaders and on social media sites.
Palestinians say it stems from frustration at decades of occupation.
