Kiffin misses bus, hitches ride with Saban after title game
Alabama head coach Nick Saban speaks during a news conference for the NCAA college football playoff championship Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, in Scottsdale, Ariz.
It’s kind of sad that Alabama nearly left their offensive coordinator at the game. Kiffin was sacked from his job at USC after leaving Phoenix in 2013 after the Trojans lost 62-41 to Arizona State, dropping them to 3-2 on the season. But if it’s any consolation to the Tennessee faithful, Kiffin got left behind by the team’s buses.
Lane Kiffin helped #Alabama win the national title tonite yet just got left behind by the team buses.
Still, the former USC coach who was sacked at LAX called quite a game for the Crimson Tide and probably deserved a ride back to the team hotel. Alabama beat Clemson 45-40 to win the championship.
With much of the fourth quarter still to play, Howard hauled in his second touchdown catch of the game as Clemson lost him for a second time in the game.
We also have to admit it’s a bit disappointing that Kiffin didn’t make his postgame walk to the buses with his suit and sunglasses on.
