Habs forwards Galchenyuk and Smith-Pelley to meet with GM Bergevin

LaPresse reported that a 911 call was made from the apartment where Galchenyuk lives in a hotel on Sherbrooke St.at 8 a.m. Sunday.

Montreal Canadiens center Alex Galchenyuk and his girlfriend got into a domestic dispute on Sunday.

LaPresse reported that Galchenyuk chose not to file a complaint of domestic violence, but police are required to forward the case to prosecutors for review.

The media report says the woman turned up at Galchenyuk’s apartment on Sunday morning, a day after the Canadiens dropped a 3-1 decision to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Galchenyuk’s girlfriend, Chanel Leszczynski, was arrested for fighting at her boyfriend’s high-rise in downtown Montreal, according to La Presse.

The Canadiens are aware of the dispute but have yet to issue a statement.

After that, Galchenyuk apparently hosted a party which included teammate Devante Smith-Pelly that stretched into the early-morning hours. “It’s something that’s going to be handled by the parties involved”.

Alex Galchenyuk has 27 points in 43 games this season for Montreal with 10 goals and 17 assists.
