Israeli soldiers attacked in two attempted stabbings in West Bank

In the second incident, “a Palestinian armed with a knife attempted to stab soldiers northeast of Hebron”, the Israeli military said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in November vowed to expedite punitive house demolitions in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, which he said were “one of the most efficient tools” in discouraging Palestinian attacks. Israel says the bloodshed is fueled by a Palestinian campaign of incitement.

According to the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), there were 369 attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians from January 2015 to July 27, averaging more than 12 each week.
