Hillary proposes ‘fair-share’ income tax surcharge for the rich

In an interview Monday, Vice President Joe Biden told CNN that part of the reason Clinton continues to struggle is because she is new to the income equality fight that Sanders has championed.

While ignoring polls because they are “unpredictable”, Clinton has gone on the attack against Sanders in recent weeks, differentiating herself on issues like gun control and highlighting her experience in politics.

Clinton, a former secretary of state and the Democratic presidential frontrunner, unveiled her plan for the “fair share surcharge” at an event in Iowa, the state which on February 1 votes first in the U.S. nominations race.

Latino and black Iowans expressed skepticism with candidates and elected officials from both political parties during a roundtable discussion hosted by DREAM Iowa and held earlier Monday at a local church.

Borger asked the vice president to explain why Bernie Sanders has found so much success in his challenge to Clinton for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination.

Sanders has maintained an edge in New Hampshire, which borders his home state of Vermont, making Iowa even more important for Clinton.

“Hillary’s focus has been other things up to now, and that’s been Bernie’s – no one questions Bernie’s authenticity on those issues”, he said. “So I think maybe I have to have a little bit of a shorter memory, wouldn’t be so bad”.

“Well, I mean they like to start that”, Trump said to a laughing audience.

“Everything, y’know, is sorta coming down to earth, just settling in, but it’s not over”.

In an interview with CNN, Biden also disclosed that President Barack Obama offered him money when his son’s health declined and made Biden promise not to sell his house.

“What Bernie Sanders has to do is say that the Second Amendment says – which he has, of late – the Second Amendment says you can limit who can own a gun, that people who are criminals shouldn’t have guns”. No one wants to be the prohibited favorite.

“It’s going to be interesting to see what happens”. Clinton said she thinks the unaccompanied children should all be provided with lawyers to help argue their cases in immigration court. “Who would have thought Donald Trump would be leading in national polls?”

Bernie Sanders has a lot to smile about this week.

Sanders leads among almost every demographic, including men, women, young people, old people, registered Democrats and those who are now unaffiliated but say they will register to vote in the Democratic primary.
