A member of Bowie’s inner circle, Gerry Leonard previously performed with him at the Point Theatre in November 2003 for the Reality Tour.

David Bowie’s death was announced on Twitter and Facebook, and social media is where his life and legacy have been most widely celebrated. It features the haunting track Lazarus, which poignantly opens with the lyrics: “Look up here, I’m in Heaven”.
