LeBron James’ Marketing Agency Has Dropped Johnny Manziel
Earlier on Wednesday in Washington, D.C., James expressed concern “individually” for Manziel, who spent 10 weeks during the offseason in a Pennsylvania rehab facility specializing in alcohol and substance abuse.
LRMR, the marketing agency of future NBA Hall of Famer Lebron James, has ended its relationship with Manziel, according to a report by cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon.
Now, unlike many, I am somebody who is in Manziel’s corner, as I feel he could be a superstar in this league if he can get his head on his shoulders, while being able to find the ideal situation to fit his talent.
There were rumors this week that Manziel was in Las Vegas on Saturday night, partying at the Planet Hollywood casino on the eve of his team’s season finale against the Steelers.
James has referred to Manziel as “family” in the past.
Driving with expired license plates ranks low on Johnny Manziel’s list of transgressions, but it simply adds to the avalanche of negative news surrounding the embattled Browns quarterback. According to WOIO-Channel 19 TV in Cleveland, the station that first reported the citation, Manziel was pulled over in an area that was just a few miles away from Cleveland’s airport. While this then led to countless fans posting black and white images of them laying on the floor, it also led to Nolan digging further in to Manziel’s Instagram history wherein she discovered a bit of an inconsistency.
Manziel signed with the agency in January 2014 when the former Heisman Trophy victor was leaving Texas A&M University and before the Browns drafted him 22nd overall in the spring. That said, before he returns to the football field we can only hope Manziel focuses on personal growth, like Maverick Carter stated.
Manziel, 23, played in nine games (six starts) this season and threw 1,500 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions and completed 57.8 per cent of his passes.
