Russell Wilson defends Ciara’s championship game dress
Prior to Monday night’s College Football Playoff Championship Game between Alabama and Clemson, Ciara performed the national anthem.
“@BonnieBernstein How dare she partially reveal her body when children are preparing to watch 21-year olds destroy each other for no money!” replied one user, while another added simply responded with a photo of scantily-clad cheerleaders at the game. Kids are watching. Cover up.
Have these people seen what the kids are wearing these days?
Bonnie Bernstein, who hosts Campus Insiders, posted this tweet, which has since gone viral: “Dear Ciara“.
“Truly amazed at how people take a tweet (that includes a compliment) and wanna make it about race”, she wrote.
You be the judge – of her outfit and her vocals.
Many, however, did not share her sentiments, implying Bernstein was a hypocrite.
The long, flowing white dress had a cutout triangle at her chest made of semi-transparent material, and this was enough to cause a stir on Twitter, as many folks called the outfit ‘inappropriate’.
Her boyfriend, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, came to her defense by praising her appearance, writing, “I see you baby!!”
