Another hot and humid day | Weather

So look for partly cloudy skies for much of the night. So our heat wave and enduring mugginess have come to an end.

This stretch of pleasant July weather will continue into the weekend as daily high temperatures settle comfortably in the 80s and humidity remains low.

Friday: Sunshine mixing with afternoon clouds. Low temperatures tonight should fall into the lower 60s for most of New Jersey, with 50s possible in the northwest corner of the state. Temperatures won’t be quite as cool as Wednesday morning’s lows.

More sunshine is in the forecast Friday as humidity increases going into the weekend.

The National Weather Service expects the highest the thermometer will reach is around 93 degrees, with a breeze up to 11 miles per hour.

The clear, comfortable weather will stay with us through at least Saturday, forecasters say. There is a good chance for many areas in central Virginia to see some afternoon and evening thunderstorms as a cold front comes through the region.
