Sony is about to launch a bezel-less, rose gold smartphone
Other than that, there isn’t anything new with this Xperia Z5 variant, which isn’t exactly a bad thing. Today, the Japanese company confirmed the pink Xperia Z5 will be available for purchase worldwide in the coming weeks. After all, pink, or rose gold for some, is the new black these days, so It seems only natural that Sony would be adding one to its premium looking Xperia Z5 family.
Unveiled back in September at IFA 2015, Xperia Z5 is one of the best camera phones available on the market. This pink variant also has the same “svelte continuous plate form” and frosted glass back as the other Xperia Z5 models have.
Sony disclosed that choosing a color is a detailed process since the material, and design of the curves play a leading role. “But to get the tone right with the frosted glass and aluminium frame did take some time;” said Rikke Gertsen Constein, lead designer on the project. We researched many places in which the most handsome shades of pink can be found, from nature and Japan’s own Sakura cherry blossom right through to the colours in the sky during a attractive sunset.
There was already a pink Z5 Compact, though that was technically “salmon”. The Sony Xperia C6 display is said to measure 5.5 inches and offer Full HD resolution.
On the camera front, one will find a 1/2.3 23MP Exmor RS for mobile sensor, Hybrid AF 0.03 sec, 5 x Clear Image Zoom, ISO 12800 Photo/3200 Video, SteadyShot with Intelligent Active Mode and 4K video recording.
A lovely pink version of the Sony Xperia Z5. It features 3GB RAM and 32GB built-in internal memory expandable up to 200GB via a microSD card.
The company is yet to announce the pricing and availability, but it’s likely the pink variant will retail for the same price as the standard Xperia Z5 in the market.
