2015’s Moto G will be water resistant
First spotted by Pisapapeles, the two phones have supposedly been leaked ahead of schedule by Chile’s largest telecoms firm, Entel. The press has been speculating the release dates of these two devices for a long time now, and it looks like it’s finally happening.
According to GSM Arena, the new Motorola Moto G will have a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and will run on a 2470 mAh battery.
The note is signed “XGX, Moto”, hinting at new versions of its Moto X and Moto G smartphones. The new handset will obviously be launched at around Rs 13,000 price bracket, so if you are looking for a quality budget smartphone, it is available at the right price, for now.
The image we have achieved thanks to MobileSyrup, and through it we can confirm that the device will support 4G LTE, something that otherwise was fairly obvious, since 2015 all devices have it, whatever its range.
Another day, another Moto G (3rd gen) leak.
With its flagship Moto X taking center stage, Motorola has streamlined its portfolio to just a handful of new products each year.
The newest Moto G leak is the other piece of evidence. For starters, the renders lineup up flawless with what we seen in previous leaks, and shows a device that isn’t too far removed from the second generation model stylistically. Other features include a 16MP rear camera, along with a 5MP front camera, as well as IP67 certification for dust and water. Front and centre on the dummy display is an IPX7 waterproof rating. This means it’s water-resistant and it can survive an immersion of up to 1 meter for a duration of 30 minutes. The 2015 version could either get a 32 GB or 64 GB built-in storage, however, it is yet to be confirmed if Moto X will get a MicroSD card slot.
Yesterday AT&T announced that the original 2013 Moto X Android 5.1 Lollipop update has been temporarily suspended, or delayed, and the carrier and Motorola will need to look into and address a few problems before the update resumes.
The Android 5.1.1 update has already been released in Korea and those who use LG G Flex 2 can enjoy the new elements and features.
Secondly, the upcoming Moto G is expected to be splash proof.
