ABC’s Diane Sawyer to interview mother of Columbine shooter Dylan Klebold
This will be Klebold’s first TV interview talking about her son and the frightful thing he did.
NEW YORK (AP) – A memoir by the mother of Columbine shooter Dylan Klebold is scheduled for 2016, and will be launched with a prime-time interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer.
Klebold’s memoir, A Mother’s Reckoning, will be released February 16, 2016. According to CNN, 12 students and one teacher were killed in the shooting and is among the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history.
More than 15 years have passed since the shooting massacre at Columbine High School in 1999, and Sue Klebold, the mother of shooter Dylan Klebold, is ready to tell her story.
Klebold is donating all of her profits from the book to research and to charitable foundations with a focus on mental health issues.
Sawyer will sit down with Sue Klebold for a one-hour primetime special set to air in February.
ABC News offered a book preview: “Klebold writes about coming to terms with the murder-suicide by her son and Eric Harris at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999″. Another 24 were injured. She will have a sit-down interview with ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer.
