How David Bowie said goodbye to his fans

He was due to be honoured at Carnegie Hall in March this year.

David Bowie’s close friend has told how the star was feeling “optimistic” about a new cancer drug just weeks before his death.

The 66-year-old former model has spoken about her ex-husband several times since entering the house, and accused him of turning their son against her.

“It comes in waves, you know”.

All day Monday, the world mourned the sudden passing David Bowie.

“Very sad. honest condolences to his family”. I’ll be offline for a while.

The music legend, 69, passed away on Sunday following an 18-month battle with cancer. Van Hove says Bowie told him about his illness during the early stages of working on the show, in November 2014, and asked him to keep the information secret.

At the musical’s NY premiere on December 7, few knew that anything was amiss. After John died, David was always there for Sean and me.

Producer Tony Visconti, who worked with Bowie on Blackstar, said the final album was “his parting gift”.

It is in admiration of that inspiration that we showcase just a small sample of the countless creative works made in his honor. I’ll never forget the caressing of our hands as we spoke, or the light in his eyes. “It was immediately clear it was very serious”, says van Hove, who kept his promise and didn’t disclose the information to anyone else before Bowie’s death.

Cameron added via his Twitter profile, “I grew up listening to and watching the pop genius David Bowie”. It was as amusing as always, and as surreal, looping through word games and allusions and all the usual stuff we did. We are all deeply saddened at this news, the timing of our public on-sale freaky in its timing, and the show is taking on many more emotions.
