Psychonauts is coming to PS4 this spring
Double Fine also announced a spinoff game called Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin will come to PlayStation VR sometime this year.
At the moment, there are now ten games available, these include Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Rogue Galaxy and Parappa The Rapper 2. Though Schafer has publicly battled with Kotick in the past, he reiterated that the game has a score in the 80s on aggregate site Metacritic and that he has “many milestone approval documents from Vivendi” that prove Kotick incorrect.
The original Psychonauts game revolves around Razputin, a young psychic seeking to become one of a group of elite psychic secret agents. I know many are looking forward to that. Using his powers, you will help Raz uncover a mystery as you pass through minds of misfits, monsters, and madmen.
The announcement comes after Double Fine just last week topped 100 percent support in its crowdfunding campaign to make Psychonauts 2. If it sounds freakish, that’s because it is – and that’s one of the reasons Psychonauts was so good. If it is like recently released PS2 titles such as Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the work done to the game involved little more than sprucing it up to a 1080p/30fps standard. If not, it’s pretty great, and soon you’ll be able to play it on PS4.
Since its release in 2005, we didn’t really hear much about Psychonauts.
Double Fine has announced that it will be releasing the original Psychonauts on PlayStation 4 at some point during the Spring.
