You have to try this fun Siri trick right now
Apple’s voice-powered personal assistant has a hidden beatboxing talent.
If you’ve ever heard a good beatboxer, you know they can make all kinds of wonderful sounds with their mouths that sound a lot like drums or other musical instruments. Siri uses a clever trick to beatbox: she says the phrase “boots and cats” again and again.
This particular Siri trick actually came to light a couple of months ago, but for reasons that only the Twitterverse knows, the Twitterverse started blowing it up over the past 24 hours.
“Here’s one I’ve been practicing”, she replies, before rattling off a rhyme that’s really more rap than beatbox (but we’ll forgive her – she’s artificially intelligent, after all).
Last year, Siri served up some snark when people asked her “What’s zero divided by zero?”. It doesn’t make sense.

Back in October, Apple bought VocalIQ, a British “speech tech AI specialist” for an amount ranging between £33 million to £66 million to improve Siri’s communication skills.
While the answer is mathematically indeterminate, Siri didn’t stop there from explaining why.
