Leicester reboots surprise title charge by beating Tottenham
Tottenham are four points behind Claudio Ranieri’s impressive Leicester side in the Premier League table but Spurs are the top-flight’s form side after a four-game unbeaten run.
Dele Alli has signed a lucrative new contract at Tottenham.
Arsenal conceded a 90th-minute equalizer at Liverpool to lose its outright lead in the Premier League on Wednesday, as Leicester kept up its surprising title challenge with a 1-0 win at Tottenham.
Pochettino, who is preparing his team for Wednesday’s Premier League clash with Leicester, would like to reinforce his forward options during the transfer window but will remain happy if he must continue to rely on Kane.
Harry Kane would score a late equaliser in that one from the penalty spot to force a replay – a decision which left most Foxes fans somewhat irate.
After all the earlier drama, German centre-back Huth produced a thunderous header from Christian Fuch’s corner in the 83rd minute to give Leicester all three points with just his second goal for the club.
“We have a young team, an ambitious team and we all have the same goal”.
“I’ve got a few games now and I’ve shown what I can do and established myself as a Premier League player”, Alli said.
Ranieri still refuses to accept that this result provided evidence that his team can win the division.
“Now it is finished and slowly he starts to train with us and I think he can improve his condition”.

As for Leicester, top scorer Jamie Vardy is passed fit to start after recovering from injury.
“When you have a very good player with enough quality to play, you can achieve what you want. But we maintained our calm, shape and slowly, slowly we got better and created some good chances to score a goal”, he told Sky Sports television.
There had been fears Leicester’s slide was beginning after three games without scoring – and they looked like making that four in a row before Huth’s late goal.
