Browns name Hue Jackson as head coach

And how about quarterback Johnny Manziel, who Jackson reportedly wants no part of?

“Jimmy and Dee Haslam, Sashi and Paul – that’s it at the end of the day”, Jackson said on why he signed here without visiting the Giants. Manziel has been a major distraction during two drama-filled seasons with the Browns.

Previous reports suggested they would offer Jackson significant say on personnel matters, which likely was the difference between the Browns and 49ers, as well as anything the Giants might have suggested in preliminary discussions. Jackson was the one who got him to loosen up and enjoy playing football.

He needs to do the same with Cleveland’s coaching staff, which is expected to look dramatically different in 2016.

When he arrived at the team’s facility, Jackson was greeted in the lobby by team employees, who applauded his entrance.
