National Football League suspends Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict for three games
Saturday’s Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals game was such a display of out of control behavior that it is still the source of topic on Tuesday.
The Broncos were without T.J. Ward, Darian Stewart and Omar Bolden that game. You have to learn to play within the scope of what football is right now.
Bruton went on IR with a fractured fibula.
The league this season has suspended Odell Beckham Jr. and Aqib Talib for on-field aggression, but those were isolated incidents.
“It’s more of a petition for players’ safety”, Johnson said.
It will be the eighth time the Broncos and Steelers will meet in the playoffs. He was unable to put any weight on his ankle as he was helped off the field and carted to the locker room.
For one Steelers fan, three games aren’t enough. So, logically, we can expect a better result if he gets an opportunity to play.
Tomlin is willing to play Williams on limited practice if his health improves closer to Sunday. “Shoot, I’m cutting him”. He really wanted to stick his elbow out – to me it wasn’t malicious. “We’re hopeful [he can play], but we’re always hopeful”.
There was no penalty flag at the time.
The hit on Brown proved to be Burfict’s most costly infraction for the Bengals, who appeared to have their first postseason win in 25 years wrapped up when he made a diving interception with 1:43 left and Cincinnati leading 16-15. Roethlisberger told the coaches he could barely throw the ball longer than 10 yards.
The hit was nearly unwatchable and did some serious damage to Brown.
Jones also told Marshall that Vontaze Burfict’s hit on Brown, which sent the Steelers wideout into concussion protocol, was clean.
Roethlisberger said he still was sore and was taking things day-by-day. “So, he’ll be able to move around”.
But you also look at this and it could be hard for the Broncos to prepare. “They deemed that to be a hit to the head I guess, and others not today”. That’s a good dude, a good family dude.
Harris wants another crack at Brown, who ended Harris’ streak of 35 games without giving up a touchdown.
“No”, the Bengals’ cornerback said. “I’m not going to make a snap judgment on anything”, Quinn said, adding there’s no timetable to determine Caldwell’s future with the Lions. “There’s nothing like revenge games”.
