Oswego County woman wins $1 million on Powerball in Kentucky

The jackpot grew to $1.5 billion, and was finally settled during Wednesday’s drawing as winning tickets were sold in California, Florida and Tennessee.

Those three ticket holders have won the game’s second prize of $1 million. Three others won $100,000, according to the N.C. Education Lottery, including one sold in Mooresville.

Two Powerball players who bought their tickets in Zephyrhills and Seminole are $1 million winners this morning.

The New York Lottery website also said 79 third-place winners can claim $50,000.

The winning numbers in Wednesday night’s drawing are 4-8-19-27-34 and Powerball 10.

Those tickets were sold in Raleigh and in Spring Lake, located in Cumberland County.

The Powerball jackpot has now been reset to its base level: $40 million. That combo is worth a cool $1 million.

“This past Saturday was our single-largest day of Powerball sales ever – $12.3 million just in Powerball tickets”, Tony Bouie with the Arizona Lottery said.

One of those tickets was sold in the Charlotte area, the lottery said. That ticket had all of the numbers correct except for the Powerball number.
