Powerball winners: How much Tennessee, Florida and California lottery winners will get
While none of those winners were in Texas, there are four new Powerball millionaires in Houston, Dallas, Decatur and Olmos Park.
Lottery officials say that in addition to the three winning jackpot tickets sold in the world-record Powerball lottery, there were eight tickets that won $2 million and 73 that netted $1 million.
The winning tickets were sold in California, Florida and Tennessee. One ticket sold in Chino Hills in San Bernadino County matched all six numbers.

That brings the total of winners to at least three.
Not that there aren’t large jackpots elsewhere.
Too many lottery winners unaccustomed to sudden wealth have gone bankrupt, been victimized or experienced other losses because they were unprepared for an onslaught of unwanted attention, said Andrew Stoltmann, an IL attorney who has represented winners.
An eye-popping and unprecedented Powerball jackpot whose rise to $1.6 billion became a national fascination will be split three ways.
“The victor could be as close as your neighbors!” said Lisa Londini, a professional caregiver shopping at the market.
A big chunk of the profits go to schools, although not enough to solve all their budget problems, officials said. “I wish it was me!”
Despite the miniscule chances of hitting the jackpot, shops across the United States did a roaring trade in frenzied last-minute ticket sales in the final hours before the live draw. Estimated jackpot amounts, which are released daily, have been steadily rising since November 4, when the jackpot was reset at $40 million.
“Everybody’s talking about it”, she said, “people figuring out how much each we would get, yeah pretty awesome”.
Spain’s massively popular Christmas lottery, known as “El Gordo”, is ranked as the world’s richest, though it doles out millions of prizes rather than one large jackpot like the Powerball. “Chino Hills!” in celebration of the city.
