Keith Urban plans out 2016 tour, including Utah stop, while finishing album
Brett Eldredge (“Lose My Mind”) and Maren Morris (“My Church”) are booked to open.
Morris shared her enthusiasm for the Ripcord tour, writing on Twitter, “Excited to announce that I’ll be hitting the road w/@KeithUrban & @bretteldredge for the ripCord World Tour!”, alongside a colorful poster featuring the trio.
The first leg of the RipCORD World Tour will start June 2 in Kansas City, Missouri, and run through November 19 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Urban announced Monday. “I still think the record is going to be out before the tour, probably”. Morris takes the lead for most of the song, and the trio can be heard laughing with each other as they harmonize and back each other up (and try to remember the words).
Urban, who is a judge on “American Idol”, has won four Grammys and was the 2005 Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year.
“We’ll be playing a lot of new music from ‘RipCORD, ‘ ” the 48-year-old country veteran said of his upcoming album, in a statement. The Texas native was named one of CMT’s Next Women of Country, a VEVO Discover Artist, a SiriusXM “Artist To Watch in 2016”, and one of Rolling Stone Country’s “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know”.
