Kobe Bryant’s sore right Achilles leaves availability in question
Kobe Bryant has scored more points against the Warriors than any other team, and he’s averaged 28 points a game for his career at Oracle Arena.
There have been interesting developments regarding Kobe Bryant and the injury to his right Achilles’ tendon that forced him out of Tuesday night’s game late in the second quarter.
Kobe Bryant (Achilles) will be a game-time decision for Thursday’s matchup with the Warriors. It is very possible that the Lakers are just being cautious with Bryant because they don’t want him to sustain a major injury but Vitti believes that the best course of action would be to have Kobe sit for 1-2 weeks before playing again. “I know our fans respect what he’s able to do in his career any time they play the Warriors”.
“He was incredible. I’ve never, still to this day, ever seen anyone play through the stuff that he’s played through”.
And while the Lakers are clearly a lottery-bound team with little to play for, Bryant’s retirement tour is turning this season into a mess.
Guard Tyreke Evans had 21 points to lead the Pelicans, who dropped their fourth in a row.
“You just have to decide if you are going to play hard every night and if we want to have a good team”, New Orleans coach Alvin Gentry said. Bryant missed four games earlier this month because of soreness in his right shoulder. But is Kobe durable enough to hold on until the end of the regular season?
Pelicans: Dante Cunningham went scoreless in 17 minutes, and fellow starter Omer Asik scored one point in 17 minutes…. However, some fans are pointing out another primary concern in the Los Angeles Lakers that should be remedied as soon as possible.
West also revealed that Bryant’s agent back then, Arn Tellem, told the New Jersey Nets that Bryant wouldn’t play for them because it was too close to home. He made his eighth 3-pointer with 4:22 to go in the third quarter, plenty of time to make an assault on the National Basketball Association mark of 12 co-owned by former Warrior Donyell Marshall and… I think they won 50 games the next year with Vlade as their center, but we got a young prospect. Curry is already considered to be the best shooter of all-time by many and could be working toward a legacy that puts him in the same category as Bryant when it is all said and done for the 27-year-old.
