Chloe Grace-Moretz to join ‘Neighbors 2’
According to Variety, Chloe Moretz is now in negotiations for her appearance in “Neighbors 2”.
Chloe Moretz will join Zac Efron in Universal’s comedy sequel “Neighbors 2“, TheWrap has learned.
Besides Efron and Rogen, Rose Byrne is on board to return with director Nicholas Stoller also coming back.
The original film centered on a couple (Rogen and Byrne) whose neighborhood was turned upside down when a fraternity moved in next door.
But the first bit of casting news is somewhat surprising.
Rogen and Goldberg will return to produce under their Point Grey banner along with trusted collaborator James Weaver. Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O’Brien will serve as executive producers alongside Good Universe’s Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake. The star’s exact role in the film is still unknown.
We all knew she was amusing in the Kick-Ass movies and on 30 Rock, but Neighbors 2 will officially be her first comedic movie.
Moretz’s next two films are Dark Places with Charlize Theron and Sony’s young adult adaptation The Fifth Wave. Just recently, she completed filming for Sacha Gervasi’s crime drama, “November Criminals“.
The sequel is expected to open in cinemas on May 13, 2016.
