Delhi Police receive AIIMS report on Sunanda Pushkar case
In a new turn to Sunanda Pushkar death case, the Delhi Police on Friday confirmed that her death was not natural and she died due to poisoning.
Commenting on the Federal Bureau of Investigation report, Bassi said: “None of the samples contained radio-active elements, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation”.
The fresh development in in Sunanda Pushkar death case comes after final AIIMS report in the case has been submitted to the Delhi Police.
Have been told that Medical Board’s advice in late Sunanda’s case has been received. The FBI report had ruled out the theory of the variant of a radioactive element named Polonium having caused Sunanda’s death, noting that radiation levels in her viscera sample were within the standard safety norms.
The important take away of this report is that it’s being co-related with the findings of the SIT.

After an autopsy by doctors at Delhi’s AIIMS hospital initially concluded Pushkar probably died of an overdose of anti-depressant drugs, the police said she was poisoned.
The progress of the observations is being reviewed by Special Commissioner of Police Law and Order Deepak Mishra.
Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, yesterday, said that he will soon file Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s wife Sunanda Pushkar’s death case. He has so far stressed his cooperation with the police with regards to the investigation.
Sashi Tharoor and Sunanda Puskar’s married life lasted for 4 years before the latter was found dead under mysterious conditions.
