Rock legend David Bowie to be honoured at Brit Awards
“David Bowie, the infinitely changeable, fiercely forward-looking songwriter who taught generations of musicians about the power of drama, images and personas, died on Sunday, two days after his 69th birthday”.
“I knew for a year this was the way it would be”. He was brilliant and sharp and dark and amusing.
“It was then that I realized that it may be the last time I would see him”, he said.
There are countless tales of people from the 80s – the Romantic era, guys wearing make-up and all that – they all say it wouldn’t have been anything, it all came from David Bowie. “In fact, don’t. It’d be weird for me”. In fact, don’t. It would be weird for me if…so don’t even consider it. Just read it and enjoy what I put in there. “But we should all celebrate him for all the fantastic work he’s done”.

“Very sad. honest condolences to his family”. There will never be another David Bowie, but there will always be the memory of him and the light he brought into this world will warm it forever.
The Music of David Bowie will take place March 21. He was just mind-blowingly talented. He was fun. He was always amusing.
In recent years Bowie had been plagued by reports he was ill, but the resurgence of his career in 2013 with the release of The Next Day, his first album in a decade, appeared to alleviate the fears.
The concert, titled “The Music of David Bowie”, was already arranged before the star’s death, but was originally intended as a tribute show. The show’s presenter Michael Dorf told Pollstar, “From a promoter’s standpoint, the show sold out in two hours – all 2,800 tickets – and that is an unprecedented thing for anything I’ve ever experienced. Thank you, thank you, thank you, David Bowie”. “Here it is, your moment of zen”. “You can quite honestly say he changed fashion, he changed art, he changed musical styles and he certainly changed my life”.
