Microsoft reveals the challenges in making Continuum work in Windows 10 Mobile
One of the most-hyped features available in new Windows phones running Windows 10 Mobile is Continuum, the ability to connect a mobile device to a larger monitor for a fuller Windows 10 experience.
Finally, Microsoft seems to be ready to release Windows 10 for smartphones that now run on Windows 8.1 OS.
Windows 10 Mobile’s Live Tiles give you a lot of freedom and flexibility when it comes to the look and feel of the operating system.
There are reports suggesting that a new version of the above Mobile Upgrade Advisory tool will released in conjunction with the first rollout of Windows 10 Mobile updates the week beginning January 18.
Two of Windows 10 Mobile’s killer features – Hello (which unlocks the phone through your retina) and Continuum (this can sort of turn your phone into a makeshift desktop PC) are sadly reserved for newer hardware, so they won’t be unlocked with the new software. The company, hence, no longer supports Windows 8 as well as most versions of Internet Explorer.
The updated version, Windows 8.1 was launched back in 2013, on November 13. We are now testing a way to boot the computer to a Pre-Windows Environment and correct the issue but as of this writing, this procedure has not been 100 percent proven.
