WhatsApp update for Android allows you to mark messages as ‘unread’

In the future, WhatsApp will hopefully create a more accessible option for this, but right now the only way to do Google Drive backups is to wait for the app to do its local backups, which will cause the app to notify the user that the backup has failed. Then you are completely mistaken.

WhatsApp has now introduced a feature for the Android version which allows the users to mark the received messages as unread even after reading the message, like we can do in Gmail.

Here are five features of the app that will bring major changes to way you used WhatsApp.

According to thenextweb.com, in the new update allows the users to mark conversations as unread by tapping and holding the conversation.

Just like you set separate ringtones for friends and family, you can do the same for your people on WhatsApp. An individual ringtone can also be assigned to each contact.

Custom Notifications: Another new feature is the Custom Notifications which will be seen below the Media section of your chat settings, along with mute chat. For this, you just have to check the Mute bar in the About Menu.

You can mute them for eight hours, a week – or a year if you really want to. Well, let’s just say WhatsApp is now making up for all that with these new awesome features you probably don’t know about. Although this feature is not available yet, techies are expecting it soon. It will allow your chats to be backed up to your Google accounts. Here’s what you have to do: Settings>Chats and Calls>Low Data Usage (click the box to save a few data while making WhatsApp calls).
