MLK Day Activities In Duluth Get An Early Start
Ferris State students and staff prepare to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.as the 2016 spring semester kicks off.
Also at Henrico High School, the 30th annual Henrico County Celebration honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m.
The students will read their essays/speeches at the buffet breakfast starting at 8 a.m.in Oak Hallow Mall’s former JC Penney building.
Both the Division of Motor Vehicles and the Driver’s License Division offices in Utah will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18.
A Baptist minister, King, spearheaded the African-American Civil Rights Movement during the 1960s with his “I Have a Dream” message.
The MLK Community Choir invites anyone who wants to join to rehearsals at New Song Christian Fellowship, 1105 Pate Street.

The Indiana Historical Society will mark MLK Day with free admission, performances and service opportunities throughout the day. 2-3 p.m. Main Library.

On Monday, an MLK Holiday Program will start with a continental breakfast at 8a.m.by the Methodist Men of Scott United Methodist Church in the gym at Robinson Park, 1020N. Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena. Student finalists are presented awards for their participation in the essay and visual and performing arts contest.
