‘Arrow’ season 4: Executive producer Wendy Mericle debunks theory about Felicity’s fate
In the midseason finale of Arrow, fan favorite character Felicity was shot and left in dire condition, leaving fans to wonder if she was occupying the grave seen in the season premiere.
Mericle tells TV Line that, while the creatives behind the series did discuss the possibility, the idea of Felicity Smoak becoming Oracle is simply “off the table”. “People will have to tune in to see what happens”.
This could imply that Felicity is not actually in a wheelchair, but was shooting a hallucination scene in the above photos and is actually either dead or alive and able to walk.
How exactly Arrow might hit that particular “Undo” button remains to be seen, if indeed Guggenheim is implying Felicity’s fate as a hallucination, but has the “Oracle” debate finally been laid to rest? Perhaps Felicity will be permanently in a wheelchair but not use the “Oracle” codename.
Rmember all those rumors that Felicity would take up the mantle of Oracle on the show at some point, though?
New spoilers for “Arrow” season four reveal that even though Felicity Smoak was badly wounded by Damien Darhk’s men, she will not become Oracle on the show.
“The back half of the season, we’re pretty much following the same structure that we have in seasons past where obviously the Big Bad gears up”.
“Arrow” returns Wednesday, January 20 at 8/7c on The CW. They’re not placeholder episodes before the good stuff gets going.
“Now I know it’s not my fault, it’s my responsibility, to end it I am going to kill him”, Oliver’s voiceover is heard in the “Arrow” season 4 return promo.
“I realize we’re being especially cruel this year, and for that I apologize, but there’s some great stuff coming up on that show”, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly when asked for “Arrow” season 4 spoilers. “15 is a real game-changer episode for us”.
