Rob Gronkowski Injury: Updates on Patriots Star’s Knee and Recovery
Gronkowski was limited Wednesday and was not at the team workout Monday.
However, Gronkowski was limited last Wednesday because of a problem with his knee, NFL.com and ESPN reported.
Unlike Gronk, NEWS CENTERS Johnny Mehler was at practice today and has the latest from Foxboro.
There has been much made of the Patriots getting healthy following a bye week for their AFC Divisional showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs at Gillette Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Gronkowski also missed Tuesday’s practice with the knee injury that he sustained against the Denver Broncos on November 29.
Some think the Patriots are deliberately overstating the injury status of tight end Rob Gronkowski. It turns out, Gronk has a right knee injury. It’s unknown what’s wrong with his back. During the regular season, missing a Friday practice for a game on Sunday is always a cause for concern, so it would not be good news if he is absent for a Saturday game. The treatment included an “injection”, according to a “source familiar with the procedure”.
The Patriots remain optimistic he will be able to suit up Saturday, but will wait and see how he feels on game day to make a final decision. As reported by The Inquisitr, wide receiver Julian Edelman will be in the lineup, but this is his first game back and he could be rusty.
