Utah Lawmakers React to Obama’s State of the Union Address
“The global system we built after the World War Two is now struggling to keep pace with this new reality”, he said.
“So is all the rhetoric you hear about our enemies getting stronger and America getting weaker”.
Barnes said he was surprised by how lofty and abstract the State of the Union speech was and how little substance it had when it comes to rubber-meets-the-road issues facing Americans. “No one who is willing to work hard, abide by our laws, and love our traditions should ever feel unwelcome in this country”, she said.
