Fox News reports Lindsey Graham to endorse Jeb Bush for president
SC senator and onetime GOP presidential candidate Lindsey Graham endorsed Jeb Bush today, despite flagging poll numbers nationwide and in key primary states.
Graham praised Bush’s approach to immigration reform and suggested the former governor would be able to build partnerships with moderate Muslim countries in the fight against terrorism. “He is not running to be commander in chief by running people down”, Graham said.
“I wasn’t ready to be president at 44”, he said of Rubio’s youth, but predicted he would be president one day.
“I think that Jeb, by any reasonable definition, is a fiscal and social conservative and above all others he understands conservatism when it comes to national security”, Graham said.
Lindsey Graham is endorsing Jeb Bush for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. The South Carolina Republican, who serves part-time as an attorney in the service, is expected to make his presidential candidacy official on Monday.

Bush gladly accepted Graham’s endorsement as a very “meaningful” one.
Meanwhile during the town hall, Bush tried to win over voters by separating himself from the front-runner, Donald trump. “I’d urge him to get out after New Hampshire if he doesn’t do well, but he probably won’t”, a “disappointed” Bush donor from Wall Street told Politico. “I am honored to have his support”.
Bush’s campaign in SC has said at least 20 former high-profile Graham supporters have jumped to Bush’s camp since Graham left the race.
Lately, Jeb Bush gained the support of a lot of Mr. Graham’s loyalists from South California, so he can definitely count on their help. In New Hampshire, it’s retail politics. The South Carolina Senate did not reach a deal on a roads bill this week, despite a special bipartisan work group spending some time on the issue behind closed doors.
