Last Free Splatoon Weapon Announced

This means you now have a whopping 74 weapons to choose from! Indeed, IGN actually increased their original score of the game due to Nintendo’s continued devotion to free downloadable content.

It isn’t exactly a surprise that “Splatoon” players received its last weapon freebie in the form of the Custom Hydra Splatling. The Custom Hydra Splatling comes as the 74 and last weapon to ever be made available in the hit third-person shooter video game by Nintendo.

According to developers, Splatoon has already seen enough DLC. Three of those aren’t freely available to everyone-there are a pair of weapons exclusive to Amiibo owners who complete a series of challenges, for instance-but that still adds up to a pretty big arsenal. Still, it’s an impressive weapons list giving players a ton of different options.

Back in December, we told you that Splatoon is getting its last update in January. So far, all of the game’s post-launch content has been completely free.

The news of course, was broken via Twitter as well. Nintendo wrote on its Splatoon Tumblr page.
