Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Champ Matt Stonie Tries 12-Pint Ice Cream
The reigning competitive eating champion faces a few pitfalls though.
Just a month after emerging victorious at Nathan’s popular hot dog eating championship in Coney Island, New York, Matt Stonie has completed a feat that will make anyone who suffers from brain freeze shudder at the thought.
By eating 12 pints of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream (assorted flavors) as fast as you can.
“You better come hungry, ’cause this is my game”, Chestnut warns Stonie in the Major League Eating video below.
Apparently there such thing as too much ice cream. None of that diet, ice-cheap crap from the store. “It was kind of my comeback, or whatever”, Stonie said after plowing through all of that frozen goodness. Per the video’s description, he wouldn’t recommend anyone else trying this insane ice cream challenge. But in his chicken wing-eating debut last year, Stonie finished third and Chestnut came in first place, gulping down 182 wings in 10 minutes.
After 35 minutes, Stonie manages to consume all the ice cream – which totals 13,400 calories, 780 grams of fat and 1,180 grams of sugar.
“What was I thinking?” he asks.
