Foreign Secretary welcomes lifting of sanctions as Iran honours nuclear deal
A report by the semi-official ISNA news agency quotes a statement from the Tehran prosecutor’s office as saying the inmates were freed “within the framework of exchanging prisoners”, without elaborating.
But under the July 14 deal, Iran agreed to crimp programs which could be used to make nuclear weapons in return for an end to sanctions.
