The 2016 Oscars is once again the center of a cultural quake because all quality black movies, actors and actresses were shut out of the Academy Awards.
Overall this year has proved to be a great year that pushed the boundaries of what can be done in film that is always summed up in the release of each year’s Oscar nominations.
His movie The Revenant leads the Oscar race with 12 nominations and he is the favorite to walk away with Best Lead Actor, a category he’s been nominated in 4 times in past years.

The snub comes two months after Isaacs-the Academy’s first African American president-announced the creation of a five-year plan aimed at boosting diversity among Academy voters, who decide the Oscar nominations.
